PERMISSION TO LAND
video - 16:45' - 2017
Despite Lebanon's small size and mountainous terrain, in the past 100 years it has been a host to 20 different locations where airplanes used to land (landing areas, runways and airports). Today, little is known of them and at least half of these locations have been erased or entirely transformed. The film revisits these locations and looks at what has become of these points today. At the same time, a poetic narrative is introduced, a voice from a strange land who speaks of her journey and is on the lookout for a place to land.
